Palm Springs (Film)

Palm Springs

I have officially turned into a Hulu stan during this pandemic. Netflix will always be my number one comfort blanket with plenty of shows that I will re-watch over and over again, but in a time when a lot of our days look the same, watching some new and refreshing content on Hulu has kept me sane. Plus, I haven’t watched a newly released  movie in so long, that I was very excited to start the film Palm Springs on Hulu, starring Andy Samberg and Cristin Milioti this weekend. To be honest, I wasn’t sure if I wanted to watch it after watching the trailer first, but only because it seemed like the worst time to watch this plot. I’m trying not to spoil it for anyone, but it was so good, felt new, and actually ended up being the perfect film to watch during this time. This description will make much more sense once you watch the film, but try to avoid trailers if you can!

Andy Samberg is his usual charming self within the first ten minutes of the film, even in a Hawaiian shirt and colorful swim shorts that don’t match. Cristin Milioti though steals the show. I couldn’t figure out where I knew her from until I googled her name afterwards (How I Met Your Mother) but I would love to see her in other stuff. Palm Springs is an edgier version of a classic rom-com, with great pacing that keeps you interested the entire film. Go watch it! I mean, what else do you have planned?
