I had already known about the Avalon Hotel in Palm Springs, as it is a PS favorite and recommended on seemingly everyone’s Palm Springs travel guide, but I did not know until recently that they also had a location right next door in Beverly Hills. The Avalon Hotel is a smaller hotel that you could definitely miss when driving by, but it has a lot of charm and quirkiness. The hotel recently went under a style renovation, led by the esteemed interior designer Kelly Wearstler. I enjoyed finding little touches from Kelly all around the hotel, and it became obvious to me that bold shapes was the theme for the Avalon’s new style.
The Avalon is in a great location, close to Rodeo Drive and Westfield Century City, and only fifteen minutes from West Hollywood. The onsite restaurant, Viviane, and the hotel’s pool, is a popular spot for locals.
Viviane, the hotel’s restaurant.
Below are the photos from my search for hints of Kelly Wearstler’s shapes incorporated throughout the hotel.
