Abbot Kinney Blvd. is definitely the shopping street with the most character in Southern California. Rodeo Drive attracts the most tourists and Melrose Ave. is where you can find popular brands, but Abbot Kinney has a range of unique stores where you can find a variety of awesome things. There are these little touches to Abbot Kinney, whether its the people, the shops, or the scenery on the street, that really makes it stand out. I seem to find new things every time I visit. I think Abbot Kinney has a good balance of being quirky without being too strange.
Abbot Kinney Blvd. is located in Venice, California. It is not located right on the beach, as it is about a fifteen minute walk to Venice Beach, but it is still worth a visit. I think the best shopping and food is between the cross sections of S Venice Blvd. and Westminster Avenue on Abbot Kinney. Most of the parking is either street or lot paid parking. Besides the unique shops, which is what attracts me to the street in the first place, you will also find trendy eateries such as Lemonade, Blue Bottle Coffee, Salt & Straw, Gjelina, and The Butcher’s Daughter.
A few of my favorite stores on Abbot Kinney Blvd. include my top three favorites
Grow, which had a mix of plants, house decorations, and other fun products,
Salt, which had fun stationary, wall art, and adorable children stories,
and Burro which had a range of gift items and a great selection of cook books.
I also like the stores Huset, Gorjana, Roots, and The Modern Dog.
