Christkindlmarket (Chicago)

While I definitely remember the Christkindlmarket being a lot less crowded as a kid, the German-themed market sells some really charming items. My favorite part is the handmade pieces, such as hand blown glass ornaments and delicate wood carvings. Not surprising, the food booths had the longest lines, but I did not think the chocolate Santas or baked cheese booth was worth the insane wait. You could definitely find some unique Christmas gifts at this market, but beware of the large crowds and Chicago weather, as hot chocolate can only keep you warm for so long in the freezing cold.
