iHeart Radio’s Jingle Ball can best be described as the winter version of a music festival. Jingle Ball, and its similar competitor Jingle Bash, are pop concerts hosted by radio stations KISS-FM (Jingle Ball) and B96 (Jingle Ball). Each act presents its radio hits, which usually means only about 2-4 songs per performer, but it is a great way to see a handful of singers without having to go to each of their concerts. Since it is hosted by radio stations, it focuses much more on pop performers and the crowd is made up of a lot more teens and pre-teens than most concerts, but there was a wide variety of ages in the crowd.
The concert also gives a lot of chances to up and coming artists who have one or two hit songs. Years ago when I attended one of these concerts I got to see performers like Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande long before they were super pop stars. So you never know who you will see before they hit it big.
