You should see the film The Founder:
- If you have ever looked at a McDonald’s restaurant and thought, “I bet McDonald’s has a compelling back story” (it does)
- If you like films based on a true story (I was surprised I had not heard more about McDonald’s’ backstory until seeing this film)
- If you are looking for a business film about a business man who runs a business and uses business jargon
- If you are a fan of Michael Keaton and are excited for the latest boost in his career (because you get a whole lot of Michael Keaton acting in this one)
- If you would like to be reminded of the greed surrounding big business (as if this is not already a daily reminder)
- If you are a fan of films from The Weinstein Company (usually backstories, heavy on the drama, over-the-top soundtracks, and most likely a period piece)
- If you are feeling nostalgic for the 1950s (including 1950s’ suburbia, clothes, hair styles, cars, and the use of the word “hooligans”)
- If you enjoy Nick Offerman without his mustache (I still cannot get used to it)
